Join us in the garden at Fort Mifflin on the Delaware! During visits, our garden educators immerse children in the garden where they learn how food is grown, harvested, and prepared. Each lesson includes gardening, nutrition, and outdoor education.

Children use all of their senses to explore the garden and learn about fruits and vegetables grown right here in Philadlephia
Taste tests are always seasonal and involve a fresh off the vine snack along with a recipe using vegetable from the garden
Every child gets to plant and water their own flower seed. Put them on a windowsill at home or in the classroom to watch them grow!


Before you arrive
Signing up for a garden visit is easy! You'll choose a date, answer a few questions about your class and a team member will reach out to confirm!
At least one teacher attending must read, sign and submit our Farm Visit Expectations Acknowledgement
Each child must have a signed Liability Waiver in order to attend the field trip. These may be sent electronically or brought the day of. Help us have fun, safely!
